A 37 year old wife and mother of 1 diagnosed with Stage 3 Ductal Carcinoma. She had a bi-lateral mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation therapy that required her to take a 6 month leave of absence from her job at a financial services company.
“The Meggs Foundation has not only carried on its role of helping young adults’ journey through the challenges of cancer treatment, they have carried on Daniel Meggs’ legacy through their big hearts and mission. Our family was fortunate enough to be selected as one of the Meggs Foundation recipients after Moffatt being diagnosed in March 2022 with stage 3 ductal carcinoma. The Foundation’s payment of some of our housing costs, to compensate for lost wages while Moffatt was out of work for six months, allowed us to focus on paying medical bills and other unexpected costs of fighting cancer. We truly feel we have a team fighting alongside us. The Members of the Meggs Foundation are truly in it to help and become part of your family when it is needed the most. The Meggs Foundation has given us a step up in this fight and we cannot begin to express our gratitude, and are excited to have extended our family to include such incredible people.” – Moffatt, July 2022
